About Us/FAQ
My passion for fishkeeping started when I left for college and discovered that I was allowed to have a 20 gallon fish tank in my dorm. Those 20 gallons quickly turned into several hundred, and I began a lifelong love of fishkeeping. Ever since then, I've kept, bred, and grown fancy goldfish, cichlids, and axolotls.

Shipping Price Breakdown
Shipping is a flat $30 charge per order. Ordering more than one fish does not increase the price, and ordering less than one fish will cause you to receive part of a dead fish.
Breakdown:
$15-$20 is the average shipping cost.
$5-$10 covers the cost of materials, including the box, insulating foam, bags, and heat/cold pack.
I also throw in some stickers.
Dead on Arrival Policy
All fish are shipped in a 9x9x9 box via 2day shipping with FedEx. Each box is lined with insulating foam, and a 48 hour heat/cold pack is included dependent on the weather conditions. The bags are square bottomed and double bagged, and the water is dosed with methylene blue to reduce shipping stress.
All fish are shipping on Tuesday after two days of fasting. If you place your order on a Sunday or Monday, it's possible your order will be shipped the next Tuesday.
If your fish is DoA, please email masonsfishery@gmail.com within 24 hours with pictures of the dead fish in the bag to receive a full refund.
Can I pick out my fish?
Typically I will separate any unique and exceptional fish to sell for individual selection. The remainder of the fish are sold as stock, and are mostly indistinguishable from each other. Any defects or imperfections should not affect the overall health of the fish. If you have any specific things you are looking for, please contact me with a detailed description of what you are wanting, and I will do my best to match what you are looking for.
When are new fish available?
All fish for sale here are bred and grown by me. It takes roughly 3-5 months before the fish are mature enough to handle shipping. Because of this, there may be periods of time where no fish are available. Please subscribe to our emails, or follow us on TikTok and Facebook to get regular updates on growth and progress.
Can I contact you for help?
I will preface this by clearly saying:
I am not a fish veterinarian, and my advice is not a substitute for a medical professionals advice. Please seek a veterinarians help with critical time-sensitive fish injury or illness.
That being said, absolutely feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have, and I will do my best to help. Also feel free to send me cute pictures of your fish.
